I'm waiting to wake up from this terrible nightmare. I can't believe there are so many narrow-minded and lazy citizens in the U.S.

Am I surprised? Not even a little bit. Appalled? Absolutely. We are a multi-generational military family, and the consensus is 'Have we seen this material before? Why, yes. Yes we have.' I have to say that much of this can be laid at the door of a 40 year decline in standard civics education in high schools, combined with a cultural shift that has increased the amount of cynicism and hopeless- helplessness under the guise of pragmatism. It's somehow depressing AND infuriating.

In monetary terms, the single most active supporter of terrorist entities, has always been the vile US support for dictators, war mongers, and bad actors globally. Imperial colonialism has, now, by definition been recognized as universally exploitative, lethally repressive of the colonized peoples, despite the myths of benevolence perpetrated by the European/White Great Powers who voraciously gobbled up the resources and the people of these subjugated colonies. On top of this catastrophe, we have also had home grown fascists, seeking to subvert America's democracy with their 5th columnist "influencers" promoting -antisemitism anti- racism and getting away with murder under the blind eyes of the US justice system and legislators. This latest attempt to promote totalitarianism in North America is the resurgence of the purist white supremacy evil that has always plagued the "New World" - which in truth is just a clone of the bad "old world", Pilgrims etc. sought to escape . In fact they brought with them the germs and contagion of the ancestral aggression and hatred of that corrupt so called civilization.
