❌ Fired FTC commissioners sue. Democratic regulators recently fired from their positions at the Federal Trade Commission filed a lawsuit last week, accusing President Donald Trump’s administration of violating long-standing federal law. Those regulators had been actively investigating corporations that then donated millions to Trump. Since January, the new administration has halted several consumer-protection lawsuits opened by Biden-era chair Lina Khan, who delivered Americans $337.3 million in refunds last year alone.
It is bad enough that we have a U. S. Supreme Court tilted hard to the right. If conservatives (a polite term) succed in buying the states' judges then what we call the Rule of Law will have disapeared. It is frightening to see America under attack frpm so many directions all at once. Maybe Trump was right: "Vote for me and you will never have to vote again". Direct quote. Well, if you are young enough to start from scratch you could apply for Canadian citizenship and live in what may well come to be the last democracy in the northern part of the western hemisphere.
