🤕 The anti-populism of GOP Medicaid cuts. Congressional Republicans just advanced a budget that could cut $880 billion from Medicaid to help finance $4.5 trillion worth of Trump’s tax cuts for the rich. This chart tells you what such cuts would mean in your community. Fifteen congressional districts would be hit particularly hard — and that could cause reelection problems for their GOP representatives. Example: In the district of Colorado Rep. Gabe Evans (R) — who barely won — 43,000 people could lose coverage, subjecting Evans to more of this local media scrutiny.
