Each week, we partner with Breaking Points to review some of The Lever’s most impactful efforts. In this week’s discussion with Krystal Ball and Saagar Enjeti, Lever reporter Matthew Cunningham-Cook discusses how government funding is effectively subsidizing Amazon’s union-busting activities — and what can be done to stop it.
We send out the clip of these discussions once a week. You can also find Breaking Points’ YouTube channel here.
This collaboration adds to our partnerships with Jacobin, Newsweek, The Guardian, The Hill, The American Prospect, The Intercept, and Earther. All of these partnerships help defray the costs of doing our labor-intensive investigations, allow our work to have wider distribution and a bigger impact, and add to the movement to build an independent, non-corporate media.

After viewing your click on Amazon, I fired off the comment below to Chuck Schumer via Facebook. I encourage others to do the same.
I hear your daughter is a lobbyist for Amazon. I find that fact “super-cali-fragi-putrid-exponentially-stinky.” You cannot say you are with the people or Democracy when your own family member is working hard to burn it all down to the ground. Are you proud? Tax Amazon or listen to your daughter. JOKE!
